The San Francisco Tobacco Free Coalition's goal is to reduce the global impact of the multinational tobacco companies by holding them to the same standards both nationally and internationally. This is particularly important in light of the current discussion of the "Global Settlement" which is not truly global in that it is focused on the U.S. only. The Coalition recognizes the need to think globally and act locally in the development of a Global Tobacco Control Policy.

The San Francisco Tobacco Free Coalition is committed to actively working in solidarity with domestic and international grassroots communities, groups, organizations, government agencies and Ministries of Health to reduce the global impact of tobacco and to promote social, economic, and environmental justice.
